一、简短陈述

考生选择其中的一个问题发表一个小型演讲。考生有1分钟的时间同时进行准备。在准备过程中，主考官会提供空白纸张和铅笔，也就是说，考生可以在准备的过程中做笔记。准备时间结束，其中一位，即考生B先发表演讲。B讲完之后，考生A要就考生B演讲的内容进行提问，然后考生B回答。接下来就是考生A进行演讲。完毕之后，考生B同样也要就考生A所陈述的内容进行提问，考生A回答。

考生应快速浏览信息卡，选择最熟悉、最有把握话题，然后根据问题后的提示组织演讲。准备时间完毕，主考官要求你发言时，考生应该欣然接受并且适时开始讲话。不要因为自认为准备不足，而迟迟不发言 。1分钟过后，考生将失去说话的机会;发言时间缩短之后，考生也会因为输出信息量不够,而不能获得商分。

在准备期间，考生一定要稍做笔记。建议考生记下要点，以免在演讲的过程中，由于紧张而忘记了自己准备要讲的内容。

正式演讲时，考生应该记住：你要做的只是一个小小的演讲。建议先告知考官你要讲的话题,作为开头。然后从自己记下的要点中，选择最有把握、最熟悉的几点充分进行阐述。最后，重述主题或者就你的发言进行总结。注意：考生应该合理地组织演讲内容，做到通顺、流畅、有逻辑。尽可能地使用连接词(如first of all, finally, however, to sum up, etc. )

合理分配你的时间。一个条理清晰、逻辑严密的演讲胜过一个毫无边际、有头无尾的发言。

当你的同伴在发言的时候，你应该耐心地听，并时而点头示意，表示尊重与赞同。记住：同伴发言完毕，你将就他或她的讲话进行提问。如果提不出问题，或是提出不相关的问题，都将使你的表现大打折扣。在听同伴发言的时候要注意思考，一旦发现可以提问的地方，要及时记录下来，再利用余下的时间组织问题。尽量避免在所提的问题中出现语法错误。一般一个问题即可。

尽可能地运用肢体语言。记住，适时的一个手势、一个眼神，都会为你增色添彩。最后要切忌胆怯。保持自信，大胆演讲与提问。要相信自己肯定做得到并且做得好。

二、合作与讨论

BEC中级口语考试的第三部分是两个考生之间进行的双向交流讨论，有时也会在三个考生间进行。它是一个合作项目，需要考生互相配合来完成任务。

考官根据指导语说明任务要求后会将两个考生共用的材料发给考生，要求考生交谈。然后，考生将围绕试题卡上的问题逬行三分钟的对话。在考生交谈完后，考官会进一步问考生一些与主题相关的问题。

这一部分涉及公司活动和公司决策的方方面面，主要是考查考生用适当的功能语言和策略进行互动交流的能力。这是一个讨论而不是角色表演，所以考生既不能只顾自己一个人说，也不能只对考官说，而是应该与另一个考生合作讨论。

仔细听对方说活，当考生没听清或没听懂对方的讲话时，不要不懂装懂，你完全可以要求对方说慢一点，重复或解释一下;另一方面，你也有责任帮助对方听懂你的话，否则，你们两个人不可能讨论下去。积极参与讨论，谈话中尽量采取主动，不能总是被动地跟着对方说或者依賴对方的提醒帮助。控制好时间，不要离题太远，建议只问一些与讨论的题目相关的问题。
