Five ways to make conversation with anyone Conversations are links, which means when you have a conversation with a new person a link gets formed and every conversation you have after that moment will strengthen the link. You meet new people every day:the grocery worker, the cab driver, new people at work or the security guard at the door.Simply starting a conversation with them will form a link. Here are five simple ways that you can make the first move and start a conversation with strangers.41.____________Suppose you are in a room with someone you don’t know and something within you says“I want to talk with this person”—this is something the mostly happens with all of us.You wanted to say something—the first word—but it just won’t come out.It feels like it is stuck somewhere,I know the feeling and here is my advice just get it out.Just think:that is the worst that could happen? They won’t talk with you?Well, they are not talking with you now!I truly believe that once you get that first word out everything else will just flow.So keep it simple:“Hi”,“Hey”or“Hello”—do the best you can to gather all of the enthusiasm and energy you can,put on a big smile and say“Hi”。42.____________It’s a problem all of us face:you have limited time with the person that you want to talk with and you want to make this talk memorable.Honestly,if we got stuck in the rut of“hi”,“hello”,“how are you?”and“what’s going on?”you will fail to give the initial jolt to the conversation that’s can make it so memorable. So don’t be afraid to ask more personal questions.Trust me,you’ll be surprised to see how much people are willing to share if you just ask.43.____________When you meet a person for the first time, make an effort to find the things which you and that person have in common so that you can build the conversation from that point. When you start conversation from there and then move outwards, you’ll find all of a sudden that the conversation becomes a lot easier.44.____________Imagine you are pouring your heart out to someone and they are just busy on their phone, and if you ask for their attention you get the response“I can multitask”.So when someone tries to communicate with you, just be in that communication wholeheartedly.Make eye contact, you can feel the conversation.45.____________You all came into a conversation where you first met the person, but after some time you may have met again and have forgotten their name.Isn’t that awkward! So remember the little details of the people you met or you talked with;perhaps the places they have been to the place they want to go,the things they like, the thing the hate—whatever you talk about. When you remember such thing you can automatically become investor in their wellbeing. So the feel a responsibility to you to keep that relationship going. That’s it.Five amazing ways that you can make conversation with almost anyone.Every person is a really good book to read,or to have a conversation with!45选?A.Just say itB.Be presentC.Pay a unique complimentD.Name,places,thingsE.Find the“me too”s
F.Skip the small talk
G.Ask for an opinion

资料:As a startup founder, my daily tasks include everything from long-term strategic planning to approving team outings and company culture initiatives. Day after day, things inevitably come up that need to get handled ASAP. But I’ve also learned that if you don’t have a strategy for making time for those bigger ambitions and your truly lofty goals, they’ll simply never get done. And that means you won’t make the progress that’s really going to move your business forward.
1. FIND YOUR MOST PRODUCTIVE TIME
Face it: You aren’t cranking out work at absolute peak productivity for the entire day. Instead, there are likely certain times when you’re at your most focused and other times when your energy wanes. That’s normal. Maybe for you, it’s bright and early in the morning, before anyone else arrives in the office, when you do your best work. Whenever it is, identify that chunk of time (even if it’s only an hour!) when you feel most productive, and then reserve it on your calendar like you would any other important meeting. You need to protect this block of time from intrusion--it isn’t optional. That way you’re guaranteed to have a regular, designated period when you can at least get started on those bigger to-dos.
2. CREATE PHYSICAL BARRIERS
Nobody works in a vacuum. We all have to collaborate with others to some degree or another. And it’s the people we work closest with whom we tend to put first--we want to be readily available if they need our help. But there are times you need to tune out the distractions and focus if you’re going to get any meaningful work done.
One of the most effective methods I’ve found is to put physical barriers between us. I’ll work from a conference room or even from home on occasion in order to get some literal space from people needing “just one quick thing.”
What can be inferred from paragraph 3?A.You have to be readily available in the office.
B.People cannot work in a vacuum.
C.People in the office love helping others.
D.Sometimes we have to decline colleagues’ requests.

第二篇Three Ways to Become More CreativeMost people believe they don't have much imagination. They are wrong. Everyone has imagination, but most of us,once we become adults, forget how to access it. Creativity isn't always connected with great works of art or ideas.People at work and in their free time routinely think of creative ways to solve problems.Maybe you have a goal to achieve,a tricky question to answer or you just want to expand your mind! Here are three techniques to help you. This technique involves taking unrelated ideas and trying to find links between them.First, think about the problem you have to solve or the job you need to do.Then find an image, word, idea or object, for exam- pie,a candle.Write down all the ideas/words associated with candles:light, fire, matches, wax, night, silence, etc.Think of as many as you can?The next stage is to relate the ideas to the job you have to do?So imagine you want to buy a friend an original present, you could buy him tickets to a match or take him out for thenight.Imagine that normal limitations don't exist. You have as much time/space/money,etc.as you want. Think about your goal and the new possibilities. If,for example, your goal is to learn to ski,you can now prac- tice skiing every day of your life(because you have the time and the money). Now adapt this to reality.May- be you can practice skiing every day in December,or every Monday in January.Look at the situation from a different point of view. Good negotiators(谈判者)use this technique in business; and so do writers.Fiction writers often imagine they are the characters in their books. They ask questions: what does this character want? Why can't she get it?What changes must she make to get what she wants? What does she dream about? If your goal involves other people, put yourself" in their shoes".The best fisher- men think like fish! The second technique suggests that you just imagine _______________.A:setting a goal is as simple as skiingB:you have every resource to achieve your goalC:new possibilities will soon appearD:December and January are the best months for skiing

Good Communication for Making Friends
As a communication skills trainer, I've met a wide range of people. Some people have trouble associating with others and have difficulty making friends. So I would like to discuss two key points to making good friends. The first is to show respect and love for your friends through your words. Try to say things to others that would feel good to you if you heard them. For example, say things like, "Thanks for the great time" and "It was really nice to get to know you."If you are not good at speaking, then smiling and using body language to express your sincerity is also an effective way to communicate. Additionally, I recommend that when you meet someone new send them an e-mail or letter before the day is over to express how nice it was to meet them.
The goal of good communication is to reach another person's heart and form a comfortable relationship. It is, therefore, based the premise that you get rid of your worries and become a bright and positive person. When there is static noise over the phone line, you can't hear the other person clearly, right? In the same way, when your mind is full of worries and you try to communicate with another person, you cannot give or receive messages accurately. For example, let's say you are still tied to a past wound of being betrayed by a friend and feeling hurts .Even if you meet someone new and he or she tells you, "Let's be good friends," you may not be able to accept it because you will hear a negative inner voice saying something like "I
might be betrayed again" or "the person might have a hidden agenda."With this worry in your mind, you will not be able to make friends.
If you can be refreshed and get rid of your worries, you should be able to sense others' thoughts and feelings without prejudice and build a relationship of trust. If you really can't let go of your painful past experience, then try to change your perspective on the experience.
For example, try to think that it was a necessary lesson for you to understand others' pain. If you can think of the positive intention behind the event, then you will be able to view the experience favourably and feel better.
In the sentence "the person might have a hidden agenda" (para.2) ,the word "agenda" means()A、relationshipB、planC、worryD、past
