2022年上半年BEC高级考试题型解析

BEC高级的阅读部分考试时间总长为1小时。试卷由6部分构成,其中第一、二、三部分主要测试考生对一些阅读技巧的应用,第四、五、六部分则测试考生对书面英语的词汇、短语、句子以及段落含义的理解能力。试卷的6部分内容共包括52个形式不同的问题,每道题目分值1分。阅读部分的文章均抽取自各类信息性的文章,各篇阅读文字长度不等,大致在150~600词之间。
第一部分
题型:搭配题

文章形式:一篇长文章分成5部分或5个短小并相互关联的文章,总字数大致为450词

技巧提示
(一)搭配题
判定8个选项与5篇100字左右的小短文(段落)的对应关系,选择出各个选项属于哪篇文字的内容,考生必须掌握迅速找出短文大意的能力。合理的做题技巧是先阅读题目说明的第一句话,从而把握所有短文共同论述的大致范围。然后直接阅读短文。阅读的时候,可以用笔在考卷上划出每段文字的中心大意和若干重要细节,即除中心大意以外的重要的、十分特殊的细节或观点。从5篇文字中找出l5个左右的考点,可以提高解题的速度。
(二)句子填空题
破解此类题目的要诀在于利用文字中的各种衔接手段以理清文字的上下逻辑。汉语语篇通常缺少显性的标记语篇逻辑性的衔接手段,而英文语篇,尤其是商务文章极其讲究逻辑的缜密性,中心思想明确,上下文之间有清晰的逻辑关系,句与句之间紧密相连。了解英汉语篇在这方面的差异,考生应当明确解题时的重点:通过各种衔接手段来解题,包括词汇的衔接、语法的衔接,最重要的是逻辑上的衔接。其实,任何两句话之间的逻辑关系不外乎两种情况:不是顺着意思讲下去(顺接)就是意思发生了转折(逆接)。判断空格前后句之间的顺逆接关系,再寻找正确的选项解题就容易多了。平时考生在做阅读训练的时候要特别注意句子之间的逻辑关系。
(三)阅读理解题
这部分题目是测试阅读能力时最为典型的题型,是对考生的阅读能力更为全面的考察方式,因而综合了破解前两部分题目所需的技巧。在读文章时需要抓住文章和各段的文字的大意,并且要注意读出句子之间的逻辑关系,而细节内容则显得次要一些。此外,由于正确选项一般都是文章原句或者原句略加改写而成,与原文存在着同义词或近义词方面的关联,因此考生应当注意这种词汇间的关系。
(四)完型填空选择题
这部分主要考察的是考生在语境中运用词汇的能力,虽然所考察的词汇大多是一些普通词汇,但难点在于它们在商业英语中与其他词汇的搭配关系和习惯用法。学生应该从搭配、习惯用法结合语境的方法解题。当然,能将题目正确完成,除了靠对语境的准确判断外,还是主要依赖考生对商业英语词汇和表达法的长期积累。
(五)开放式完型填空题
此部分重点考察某些语法结构以及和文章衔接、连贯有关的语言,考生首先需要熟悉一些基本的语法结构,如:名词性从句、定语从句、it做形式主语的句子等;其次,考生要掌握一定数量的习惯用语,如:take...into consideration,on someone’s mind等;另外,还要熟悉语篇的衔接手段,包括逻辑关联词、指示代词等。此部分题目涉及的词汇包括介词、助动词、代词、连词等。
(六)改错题
此部分主要考察搭配、介词使用等。一般来说,正确的句子在3~4个,其余的句子都多了一个单词。多余单词以介词(of,on,with等)最多,其次是代词(their,this,his,US等)。最后才是各种实词。
